French Rider Awareness

We picked up this motorcycle awareness campaign from the French motorcycle magazine Moto mag.com which shows a motorcyclist in the rearview mirror of a motorist. The awareness campaign which will last for six months consists of a large poster displayed on the back of 30 lorries in Essonne, a French department in the region of Île-de-France just 40km South of Paris and throughout France. The slogan “ATTENTION FRAGILE !” which needs no translation into English, aims to encourage motorists to pay more attention to “two wheel riders” who remain the most vulnerable users. Davys Bikes situated in Bangor and based in the heartland of Balloo Industrial Estate is the latest dealer to stock the Biker NI (CRASH) Safety Card. We popped into the shop recently, which hosts a wide variety of stock from new/used motorcycles to brake pads and the latest clothing from IXON and were enthusiastically welcomed by the director of the business David Milliken. Highwaymen – Get A Card

The Highwaymen MCC – Right To Ride Club Supporters are the latest club to receive the NI Biker Safety (CRASH) Card. The club was formed last year and they are looking forward to a bright new future. AA – “Thinks Bikes!”

The AA (Automobile Association) and the AA Charitable Trust, with support from British Cycling and The Motorcycle Industry Association, launched a national ‘Think Bikes!’ awareness campaign in central London last week. The campaign will initially see one million free stickers distributed to drivers as a reminder to do a ‘double-take’ in their mirrors for cycles and motorcycles in their blind spots. A Million Cards

The International Helmet Safety Card One Million Cards Produced And Distributed After three days with our Northern Ireland Biker Safety Card at the Adelaide – Blackhorse Motorcycle Festival in Belfast, news has reached us that one million of the cards have now been produced and distributed worldwide. Cards At The Show

The Biker NI Safety – CRASH CARD –will be at this weekend’s Adelaide Blackhorse Motorcycle Festival, to be held over the next three days in the New King’s Hall Pavilion – Balmoral – Belfast. The CRASH Card was originally designed by paramedics through the Ambulance Motorcycle Club. The card was launched at last year’s motorcycle festival and brought the “Ambulance Motorcycle Club” Crash Card initiative to Northern Ireland.
