First Aid For Riders the safety initiative set up by Right To Ride to provide a tailored First Aid Course for riders of all Powered Two Wheelers (PTWs) is now recommending B.I.K.E.R.S. Training, home of the First Bike on Scene (FBoS) – Emergency Response Skills (ERS) to deliver their courses to riders. Set up in 2011, B.I.K.E.R.S. Training aims to contribute to the road safety of motorcyclists by providing them with immediate care skills in the event of coming across a road traffic collision, involving another biker. Last week while hovering over a table of various canapés and cocktail sausages at the rebranding launch of Adelaide Insurance Services as Cornmarket Insurance Services, I was introduced (thanks Monty) to the folks from the Adelaide Advanced Motorcyclists group. Our first conversation was about the group name and whether it would be changing to reflect the rebranding to  Cornmarket Insurance Services. Both Hein Gericke in Belfast and Davy’s Bikes in Bangor, who both recently took on the Biker NI Safety (CRASH) Card, are offering riders a great deal and a safe deal on purchasing a new helmet. CRASH Cards Fly High

Globally 1.25 million CRASH cards in the UK – including Northern Ireland, Europe and USA as RAF Lakenheath has become the first US Air Force (USAF) base in the UK to join the award winning CRASH card programme. The Biker NI Safety Card will be along to the PSNI Bikesafe event at Ballymena Honda this Saturday 23rd August 2014. BikeSafe, who funded the “Crash Card” this year have been handing the cards out to riders, however their stocks are running low, so we will be at the event with an extra pile of the free cards!
