At last weekends – 2nd June 2013 – Downriders MCC charity ride out for the NSPCC – National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children – we spotted some of the Biker NI Safety Card “Do Not Remove Helmet” stickers. Downriders MCC say: “Thanks to everyone whom turned up today at the NSPCC ride out, some 220 bikers took to the roads on an enjoyable, run thanks to everyone of you who turned up!” A fantastic day out at this annual with over £1,200 and counting raised for the NSPCC! Slim’s is situated in St Patrick Street Draperstown, at the foot of the Sperrin Mountains, owner Owen says, “Myself (Owen) and my wife Paula, both keen bikers, took the cafe over about a year ago. We had a fantastic time distributing Biker NI Safety Cards at the Adelaide Motorcycle Festival (Adelaide Insurance Services) at the week end and as we relax our weary feet we can reflect on the three days hard slog. Biker NI Safety Card Launches
The Adelaide Motorcycle Festival at the Kings Hall Pavilion, 8th to 10th February 2013, sees the launch of the “Biker NI Safety Card”. The “Biker NI Safety Card” brings the “Ambulance Motorcycle Club” Crash Card initiative to Northern Ireland. It is supported by the major agencies involved in keeping us safe on the road: PSNI Bikesafe – Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) – Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS).
