The Finnish rider organisation – MP 69 – have introduced their version of the CRASH Card to motorcyclists in their country, the “Medical Card” serves exactly the same function in Finland for transmitting personal information after an accident.
Finnish motorcycle website Motouutiset.fi reports that, “Yesterday on Thursday, we released a story about how a motorcyclist keeps important information for himself, so that, in the event of an accident, first aid workers receive information about affiliation, drug susceptibility, medication and its quality as soon as possible. The MP69 has come to a simple and clear solution provided by Medical Card.”
Explaining that:
The Medical Card is printed on a water-resistant material and placed in the helmet under the padding after filling in the personal information.
The medical card sticker is attached to the helmet’s outer shell.
Medical Card makes it easier for medical staff to work, and accelerates diagnostics at the scene of an accident. MP69’s got their own Medical Card for free in June with the Motorist, on the MP69 Motorcycle Club site.
The medical appears to be free for MP69 members while others are changed a nominal price of 1.5 Euros
The card can be ordered from the MP69 website.
